Hi, I am Layne Taylor!

I am a creative-minded young professional with a multitude of skill sets within the extensive world of design and visual arts. As it has always been an aspiration of mine, I have become a full-time freelance designer and artist.

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at Auburn University. Industrial Design is a broad, yet competitive design field that specializes in Product Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Branding, Problem Solving Skills, Photography, Hand Drawn Rendering, Technical Drawing, Prototyping, Computer Based Design (CAD modeling, Rendering, etc.), Public Presentations, Interpersonal Skills, and various other skills. Above all of these technical and professional skills I acquired in school, the singular most important skill I learned was how to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

After recieving my degree at Auburn, I worked at an architecture and interior design firm, where I focused on creating consistent branding, CAD models for clients, and just about anything creative that I could get my hands on. This is where the term “Laynefication” was created in honor of the way I was determined to use consistent branding on absolutely everything. From administrative forms to signs on the coffee bar, there was no doubt who had created them.

While working at the architecture firm, I was recruited by a commercial real estate and investment firm to take over their marketing department as Director of Marketing. This position gave me freedom to make fundamental changes to the company’s public image, community participation, overall brand, and office culture. I incorporated brand standards, an updated online presence, new marketing materials for all properties, employee social activities, participation in community events, and a brand new website.

Craving creative freedom and collaboration with clients, I decided it was time to branch out on my own and embrace a full-time freelance position. With the multitude of skills I’ve gained from my design education and experience combined with my extensive art background, I’m proud to offer an array of services: Graphic Design, Brand Development, Strategic Marketing, Visual Arts, and Social Media Management. Creating a new look and efficient marketing strategies for a business is something I have become very passionate about. I am eager to continue to support businesses, allowing them to reach their full potential.

If you are interested in any of my services, have any questions or just want to say hello, please contact me!
